It looks as though winter is here to stay in Minnesota! Get in the spirit by planning a trip to stay with us at Chase on the Lake! We have plenty of holiday fun happening here in Walker. Thanks to the record low temperatures and snow that descended on us last week, we can begin enjoying winter activities much sooner than usual! The snowmobiling trails open around the first of December and once the lake freezes over, you can try your luck with some ice fishing. Let Leisure Outdoor Adventures escort you to one of their new heated fish houses with heated bathrooms to one of their hot spots where everything will be biting, especially freshwater perch.
If you prefer a little more excitement, there are hundreds of miles of groomed trails, fields, and forests just waiting to be explored by snowmobilers. Tons of restaurants and clubs in the area cater to riders, with parking and heated gear storage. Located close to us, the famous Heartland and Paul Bunyan Trails are two of Minnesota’s best and seem to run forever. We also have miles of cross country skiing trails that wind through the forests and offer incredible views of the beautiful lakes nearby.
If you’re not a fan of the cold weather, you can relax inside and snuggle up next to the fireplace with a cozy blanket and a cup of hot cocoa. Go bowling with the kids at Chaser’s Alley or make an appointment to be pampered at our Aveda Copper Door Spa. We have something for everyone here at Chase on the Lake.
Be sure to check out our winter packages to help you save on your snowy vacation.
