Last year Leech Lake was almost ice free by mid-May and this year we are hoping for the same luck (or better)! In recent years Leech Lake has become a success story with a resurgent walleye population that has allowed the DNR to relax the lake’s size restrictions. Anglers are now allowed to keep four walleyes up to 20 inches long instead of 18 inches like previous seasons. The DNR has listed Leech Lake walleye population, as “abundant” and that other fish such as northern pike and largemouth bass populations are also healthy.
Book now and make sure to catch your share of the sizeable fish population this season. We offer upgrade options including a full day fishing trip or staying in the Lakeview or Balcony Hotel for an additional price. To top it off, spend your free time after fishing at our Copper Door Aveda Spa, Chaser’s Bowing Alley or indoor heated pool and spa. Your dreams of summer fishing and iceless lakes will become a reality once you book your weekend with us. Don’t miss out on the spring bite on Leech Lake!
